Our Construction Process

Prepare the Site
Prior to construction, we begin by clearing all debris and any trees that will interfere with the swimming pool. This step is typically the responsibility of the homeowner, and we will ask you to make sure the site is clean and that you're 100% sure of the location.

Digging and Building the Swimming Pool Wall
We use a backhoe to dig the area that will become your swimming pool. After that, the pool walls are constructed and plumbing for the pool drains is installed.

Concrete Footer Pouring
We go the extra mile by pouring a concrete footer around the outside base of the pool wall to give it extra reinforcement. At this point, we will add additional reinforcement under the pool steps.

Plumbing Installation
Now, plumbing is installed for the swimming pool. Pipes are attached to the main drain, the vacuum system, and the two returns. We add an extra return at the steps as well as a separate vacuum line. The pipes are laid on the previously installed concrete footer.

Backfilling and Leveling
We will use all the dirt that has been lying around your yard to backfill around the swimming pool. We will also level the pool area and remove any leftover dirt.

Vermiculite Pool Bottom Application
Next, we will apply the vermiculite pool bottom. Vermiculite is mixed with a fine cement mixture to create a protective bottom to the pool. This solution stays in place and will not slide around like a sand pool bottom can. It will also keep your pool looking great for many years.

Placing the Liner and Adding Water
We will now install a liner into the pool opening and begin to add water. The liner is attached around the top of the pool with framing, and a vacuum is installed under the liner to help remove air as the water flows into the pool. It can take anywhere from two days to a full week to add water to your pool depending on the size of the pool and flow of water.

Framing the Deck
We will frame out the deck area around the pool. A grid of rebar is set inside the framing to give the concrete strength. The most important step is to attach a grounding wire to each portion of the rebar, the pool walls, steps, ladder, and handrail fittings, and run it through to the common electrical ground. An electrical inspection is required prior to the concrete being poured.

Deck Finishing
Following the electrical inspection, the concrete is poured and finished. After the concrete has cured in about three weeks, we will return to place the screws for your pool cover if you chose the deluxe pool cover.
